SeneGence Complexion Layering Order: Skincare, Primer, Foundation

Layer Climate Control gel essence and a selected serum first, then build the Mechanical Shield with the matching DayTime Moisturizer, MakeSense Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer, and MakeSense Foundation. The Mechanical Shield is complexion layering, and a labeled sunscreen stays its own directed step.

section 01

Layer Climate Control, Serum, Moisturizer, Primer, and Foundation in This Order

why it matters

product value & fit

Foundation that separates, rolls or pills almost never has a foundation problem. It has an order problem.

Five steps, always the same five: Climate Control, a chosen serum, the matching DayTime Moisturizer, MakeSense Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer, then MakeSense Foundation. Hydrate, treat, moisturize, smooth, perfect. Thin passes, and let each one settle before the next.

The last three are the Mechanical Shield. The first two get the skin ready for them.

Get the order right and the makeup stops fighting you.

how to use itselection, application & troubleshooting

Work light to heavy in front of the client: Climate Control, one selected serum, the matching DayTime Moisturizer, MakeSense Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer, then MakeSense Foundation. Thin, even passes, and assess tack before you advance. If the base rolls, cut the quantity at the first overloaded layer rather than rearranging the sequence. Follow eye-product and sunscreen directions on their own.

the scienceformula · mechanism · evidence

The first two steps are preparation: a water-rich layer, then one targeted treatment. The last three are films. DayTime Moisturizer sets a flexible base, MakeSense Silk Primer refines the interface, and MakeSense Foundation carries the pigment. The Mechanical Shield is a complexion-layering technique in which each interface prepares the surface for the next. Add a labeled sunscreen as its own directed step whenever sun protection is wanted.

Climate Control is the gel-essence step

Climate Control is the gel-essence step
section 02Climate Control is the gel-essence step

why it matters

product value & fit

Freshly cleansed skin can feel thirsty, and Climate Control answers with lightweight hydration.

It is a preactivated hydrating gel essence used before treatment. Its sugar complex of Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol and Xylitol binds water at the surface, helping the next layer spread in a thin, even pass.

Climate Control hydrates first. MakeSense Silk Primer, four steps later, smooths before foundation.

how to use itselection, application & troubleshooting

Veil Climate Control over freshly cleansed skin before serum so the complexion build starts on evenly hydrated skin. Keep it thin at brows and hairline, then continue to the concern-led treatment, moisturizer, primer and foundation. For amount, settling or pilling, use the application-order guide.

the scienceformula · mechanism · evidence

Climate Control's gel-essence vehicle lays a thin, water-rich preparation layer on bare skin. MakeSense Silk Primer arrives at a different interface, between moisturizer and color, with a rheology built to smooth rather than to hydrate. Same face, two positions, two jobs.

section 03

Apply the Targeted Serum After Climate Control

why it matters

product value & fit

One serum. Not three.

Pick the thing that bothers you most in the mirror and let it choose. Dark spots and uneven-looking tone go to C-Bright Dark Spot Corrector. Fine lines and a want for firmer-looking skin go to NeoTight Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Serum.

It goes on after Climate Control and before moisturizer, in one thin pass, with a moment to settle. That single position is what keeps the rest of the routine from crowding it.

how to use itselection, application & troubleshooting

Choose the serum during the consultation: C-Bright Dark Spot Corrector for a visible-brightness or uneven-tone goal, NeoTight Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Serum for firmness or fine lines. One thin pass after Climate Control, settled before DayTime Moisturizer. In a makeup service, do not stack treatments unless their compatibility is already established. C-Bright Clinical

the scienceformula · mechanism · evidence

Selection is concern-specific; the sequence is not. For a visible-brightness or uneven-tone goal, C-Bright Dark Spot Corrector brings 15% stabilized 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid with Ferulic Acid, while NeoTight holds a separate firmness and fine-line role. Keeping one targeted formula between gel-essence hydration and moisturizer limits redundant film load and hands primer and foundation a more predictable surface.

section 04

Apply Moisturizer Before Primer and Foundation

why it matters

product value & fit

DayTime Moisturizer is the layer everything above it stands on.

Choose the one that matches how your skin behaves now, because Dry, Normal to Dry and Normal to Oily are different formulas rather than three sizes of one. Press on a light, continuous layer once the serum has settled, then take the excess off the nose, the brows and the hairline.

Comfortable is the target. Slick is too much.

how to use itselection, application & troubleshooting

Pick the current DayTime Moisturizer for the client's skin type; compare current skincare choices rather than treating the variants as one formula. After the serum settles, press on a light, continuous layer. Correct dry pockets and leave the surface even and comfortable, so the next product has something predictable to sit on.

the scienceformula · mechanism · evidence

The variant and its current label decide the ingredient architecture, so DayTime Moisturizer is a branch rather than one shared formula. Its emollient film is where treatment ends and the Mechanical Shield begins: it holds surface flexibility and gives MakeSense Silk Primer a consistent substrate. Climate Control and the serum stay underneath as preparation.

section 05

Use MakeSense Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer Between Skincare and Foundation

why it matters

product value & fit

MakeSense Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer blurs the look of pores, absorbs excess oil, and leaves a smooth, velvety surface for foundation.

It belongs in exactly one place: after moisturizer, before color. Not as a first step, and not as a repair at the end.

Skin does not need primer everywhere. It needs primer where the foundation is going.

how to use itselection, application & troubleshooting

Press and glide a thin veil only where foundation will sit, adding the least product over mobile or texture-prone areas. Wait until the surface feels uniform before color.

Pro tipRolling or pilling usually calls for less product, longer settle time and gentler pressure, not another coat of primer.
the scienceformula · mechanism · evidence

Silk Primer is the smoothing layer between moisturizer and complexion color. Its pore-blurring and mattifying job combines oil absorption with a soft-focus surface that helps makeup glide on evenly. Trifolium Pratense (Red Clover) Flower Extract is included for less-visible pores and shine, Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3 is included for smoother-looking skin, and Nangai Oil adds emollient comfort.

section 06

Finish the Complexion With MakeSense Foundation

why it matters

product value & fit

MakeSense Foundation is the final complexion layer—the one that gives the finished look its coverage.

Let MakeSense Silk Primer settle, then apply Foundation over it in thin passes. If the base rolls, correct the amount or settling time underneath instead of rearranging the sequence.

The result should look even, light, and unmistakably like skin.

how to use itselection, application & troubleshooting

Confirm the primer has settled with a light press at the jawline. When the veil stays in place under the fingertip, open the foundation. Then continue to foundation and cream-color placement for the application itself. When a primer finish is wanted, apply MakeSense Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer before MakeSense Foundation for a smoother-looking, pore-blurred surface.

the scienceformula · mechanism · evidence

Foundation is the pigment-bearing outer film of the Mechanical Shield, and SenePlex+ is in MakeSense Foundation itself. What matters at this point in the build is the interface: pigment laid over a settled primer sits differently from pigment laid into one that is still wet, which is why the five steps are a sequence rather than a list.
